The new range includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, faster processors, and refined hardware upgrades.

Official Samsung Galaxy S26 Prices in Kenya

Samsung Mobile Kenya has confirmed the following retail prices:

Galaxy S26 Ultra

  • 512GB – KES 197,300
  • 256GB – KES 171,400

Galaxy S26+

  • 512GB – KES 170,300
  • 256GB – KES 144,400

Galaxy S26

  • 512GB – KES 147,700
  • 256GB – KES 120,000

The updated pricing positions the S26 Ultra firmly in Kenya’s ultra premium segment, while the base S26 enters the flagship category at KES 120,000.

Refined Design With Practical Upgrades

The Galaxy S26 series maintains a familiar design language from the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, but introduces meaningful refinements.

The base Galaxy S26 now features a larger 6.43 inch AMOLED display and a 4300mAh battery, up from 4000mAh in the previous generation. The Galaxy S26+ retains its 6.7 inch screen and 4900mAh battery capacity.

Both the S26 and S26+ models now start at 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, eliminating the previous 128GB entry level option. Rounded corners, once more distinctive on the Ultra, are now consistent across the lineup.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600 Performance Boost

The Galaxy S26 series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in select markets, while others receive the Exynos 2600 built on a 2 nanometre process.

Samsung reports significant gains in performance, including:

  • Up to 39 percent faster NPU performance
  • Noticeable CPU improvements
  • GPU gains of up to 24 percent

The improvements reflect the growing demand for on device AI processing, mobile gaming power, and advanced computational photography.

Galaxy AI Expands Automation and Smart Features

Artificial intelligence remains central to Samsung’s strategy. Galaxy AI introduces enhanced automation features designed to simplify daily smartphone use.

Key upgrades include:

  • Automated App Actions, allowing users to issue natural language commands such as booking a ride, with the device completing the task in the background
  • An enhanced Now Brief that pulls contextual updates from more applications
  • Improved Audio Eraser, now compatible with content from platforms such as Netflix, enabling users to reduce background noise and enhance dialogue clarity

Samsung’s AI ecosystem also integrates with tools such as Gemini and Perplexity AI, reinforcing its multi agent AI approach.

Camera Upgrades and Video Enhancements

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ retain their triple camera configuration:

  • 50MP main sensor
  • 12MP ultra wide
  • 10MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom

While hardware remains largely unchanged, Samsung introduces a new Object Aware Engine that improves portrait photography by rendering more accurate skin tones and detailed textures.

Video features receive meaningful upgrades, including:

  • Enhanced Super Steady mode with 360 degree horizon lock
  • New Auto Framing, which uses machine learning to track subjects dynamically in 4K and 8K recording

Galaxy S26 Ultra Adds Privacy Display and Faster Charging

The Galaxy S26 Ultra continues to lead the lineup with premium features. It features a 6.9 inch AMOLED display with a new Privacy Display mode that narrows viewing angles to prevent side angle visibility, ideal for commuters and professionals handling sensitive information.

The Ultra retains its 200MP primary sensor and telephoto system, but introduces wider apertures on the main and 5X zoom lenses for improved low light photography.

Charging speeds have also improved to:

  • Up to 60W wired charging
  • 25W wireless charging via compatible Qi2 accessories

Samsung Doubles Down on AI Led Innovation in Kenya

The Galaxy S26 series reflects Samsung’s strategic shift towards refining hardware while embedding deeper intelligence into everyday smartphone experiences.

For Kenyan consumers upgrading from the Galaxy S23 or S24 series, the jump in performance, storage, and AI powered automation will be significant. For Galaxy S25 users, the changes may feel evolutionary rather than dramatic.

With confirmed Kenyan pricing and availability from 11 March 2026, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy S26 series as a premium, AI driven flagship range tailored for an increasingly competitive smartphone market.
