Smirnoff Battle of The Beats Nairobi Edition kicked off in high gear with an impressive appearance by Nairobi’s DJs for Smirnoff’s auditions. Over 40 talented DJs showed up on the 15th of November at Quiver Eastlands for a chance to get selected for the live TV battles. Only 12 of the hottest DJs made it to the next round.
The top 12 DJs got a chance to battle live on TV47, with each performing a mix showcasing their skills and talent. DJ LEEBOY, DJ KHARL DROGGO, RUBBOENTERTAINER, DJ OLIVIERA KENYA, DEEJAY DYCEE, DEEJAY AGA, FUNKEED MIXX INGENIOUS, SITY THA DJ, DJ IRICK, DJ KLASIQ, DJ SEVILLE ESCO, MR VANCIE are all vying for a spot in the next round.
Speaking after the live session, DJ Redbone, SBOB’s judge, emphasized the importance of public participation in this stage of the competition. “The DJs brought their A-game, and now it’s up to the fans to make their voices heard. This is your chance to support your favorite and help them move closer to the SBOB crown,” he said.
Jonathan Rutto, Smirnoff Shopper Manager, also encouraged fans to engage with the competition, saying, “Smirnoff’s Battle of the Beats is all about celebrating individuality and community. By voting, fans are not only supporting the DJs but also playing a key role in shaping the future of Kenya’s entertainment scene. We are inviting everyone to cast their votes, as only eight DJs will be advancing to the next stage, and it’s up to you to decide who deserves to move forward. “
The Nairobi Edition marks a significant milestone in SBOB Season 3, and the excitement is far from over. The top 8 DJs will continue to battle it out live on TV47 for the chance to represent Nairobi in the regional finals.
