An International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff team, led by Mercedes Vera Martin, Mission Chief for Senegal, will visit Dakar from August 19 to September 1. During the visit, the staff team and authorities will continue discussions toward reaching a shared understanding of the policies and reforms that could be supported by an IMF lending arrangement.
The IMF remains firmly committed to helping Senegal safeguard macroeconomic stability and foster sustainable and inclusive growth.
IMF staff will also engage with other stakeholders during the visit.
Ms. Vera Martin will issue a statement at the end of the visit.
