Samsung Electronics East Africa has flagged off three Galaxy S26-branded buses at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), deepening its push to bring the Galaxy brand closer to consumers through high-visibility transit partnerships.

The branded buses, now operating within the airport’s transfer system, are expected to support passenger movement across JKIA while offering travellers a more engaging airport experience as they move through different terminals and service points.

The rollout was officially flagged off by Samsung Electronics East Africa’s Head of Product and Marketing, Evelyne Munene, alongside the Kenya Airways team, marking the latest collaboration between the technology brand and aviation stakeholders at Kenya’s largest airport.

Samsung said the buses are designed to combine utility with visibility, placing the Galaxy S26 brand at the centre of one of the country’s busiest travel hubs. The initiative also signals the company’s continued interest in experiential marketing, using transport touchpoints to connect with consumers in everyday settings.

The JKIA activation builds on Samsung’s earlier aviation-themed branding campaign with Jambojet. In April 2024, Samsung partnered with the airline under the #GalaxyInTheSky campaign and flagged off a Galaxy S24 Series-branded aircraft on April 25, 2024.

By extending its branding from the skies to the ground, Samsung appears to be reinforcing a strategy of using travel environments to boost visibility for its flagship mobile devices and create memorable brand experiences for passengers.
