The initiative, in partnership with the Kenya Red Cross Society, will allow customers and stakeholders to contribute funds that will be distributed to beneficiaries through the Red Cross network.

This initiative was officially launched on Monday, May 13th, when representatives from Bolt and the Kenya Red Cross Society will make the announcement.

Bolt said in a media note that the company initiated this campaign to directly aid victims of recent devastating floods. Bolt has made an initial substantial donation to kickstart the fundraising efforts. Reports show that close to 300,0000 Kenyans have been affected, and not less than 56,000 households impacted by the floods.
