RUBiS Energy Kenya unveiled a strategic partnership with Carrefour at its Kenyatta Avenue service station in Mombasa, introducing a new level of convenience for residents and commuters in the coastal city. This marks the first RUBiS station in Mombasa to host the renowned global retail brand, creating a seamless blend of fuelling and everyday shopping under one roof.

“This is more than just a co-location, it’s a step toward redefining convenience for our customers,” said Olivier Sabrié, CEO of RUBiS Energie East Africa and Group Managing Director, RUBiS Energy Kenya. “Whether someone is fuelling up, grabbing groceries, or both, they can now do so effortlessly in one stop.” Carrefour brings a curated selection of groceries, beverages, and household items, enabling customers to take care of multiple errands without having to travel far.

The integration of Carrefour into the RUBiS Kenyatta Avenue station reflects a growing demand for accessibility and quality retail options in Mombasa’s Central Business District. Known for its relaxed pace and community feel, Mombasa offers a unique environment where such partnerships can enhance the rhythm of daily life rather than rush it.

Beyond retail and energy solutions, Rubis Kenyatta Avenue serves as an engine for local growth, supporting more than 85 direct jobs and partnering with dozens of local suppliers. This collaborative approach reinforces RUBiS’ commitment to socio-economic development in Mombasa and demonstrates the tangible impact that thoughtful investments can deliver for communities.

This partnership is part of RUBiS’ wider mission to transform the traditional service station experience across Kenya, not just as places to refuel, but as multifunctional lifestyle hubs built around the evolving needs of today’s consumers.
