According to a police report from Elburgon Police Station, the suspect, identified as AG, is a Form Three dropout. He allegedly confessed to the crime, stating that he killed his mother on Friday, July 25, at around 1300 hours.

The boy reportedly became enraged after his mother refused to reveal the identity of his biological father. In a fit of rage, he is said to have struck her on the head multiple times, resulting in her death.

Investigations further revealed that the following day, Saturday, the suspect dug a shallow grave in an adjacent house within the compound. He allegedly planned to bury the body early Sunday morning before the crime was discovered.

Police arrested the teenager on Sunday. The body of the deceased was moved to Elburgon Level IV Hospital morgue for preservation and post-mortem examination.

Authorities have launched further investigations into the incident, while the minor remains in custody pending arraignment.
